MoMaPilates

Move Freely. Live Fully.

Our bodies are made to move — and every part of us, from our muscles and joints to our organs and skin, thrives on movement. Being active is a fundamental part of life. It strengthens bones and muscles, reduces the risk of disease, supports healthy weight management, eases chronic pain, lowers anxiety and depression, improves sleep and focus, and simply makes you happier.

To move freely, our bodies need the right fuel. The food we eat provides the energy to grow, repair, and move with ease, as well as the nutrients that keep all our systems running smoothly. But food is more than just fuel — it’s joy, comfort, and connection. It brings people together, creates memories, and nourishes not only the body but also the mind and spirit.

My approach is centered around you — your goals, your lifestyle, and what truly matters to you. Together, we’ll create a personalized plan with ongoing support to help you build a strong, flexible, and resilient body. So you can do what you love — freely, fearlessly, and with joy.

Fran Ammann

Hiya, I'm Fran (Franziska) Ammann - nice to meet you!

I’m a qualified Pilates teacher, Nutritionist, and Soft Tissue Therapist based in central Cambridge. I offer in-person and online coaching from my private home studio, work at a Physiotherapy and Sports Injury Clinic, and teach at a Wellness Club.

I earned my qualifications with Breathe Education, Contrology Collective, APPI, MNU Mac Nutrition Universal, NASM, Girls Gone Strong, Strength and Conditioning Education, and CSSM. Staying rooted in n evidence-based approach means staying up-to-date, questioning what I know so far, looking beyond the basics, and embracing new ideas. Because science never sits still, and neither do I.

Originally from Switzerland, I spent a few years in the United States and now call Cambridge home. I’ve been fascinated by the human body, how it moves, functions, and adapts, and staying still has never been my strong suit. I love running, enjoy cycling with my husband, collecting cookbooks, and taking long walks with our Kooiker Greg. I’m happiest outdoors—whether running, swimming, paddling, skiing, or catching a bit of sun and blue sky - precious commodities in the UK, but I chase them anyway..

Pilates has been a steady companion over the years. It supported me through two pregnancies, helped me bounce back from injuries, and continues to elevate my running. I absolutely love how it makes me feel — and I want to experience that same joy in movement and discover just how remarkable your body truly is. Adding nutrition is like the cherry on top! To move freely, be strong, and perform at your best, our body needs the right nutritious fuel, and that doesn’t mean food restrictions or rigid meal plans.  It's about being confident in your choices because, honestly, who wants to say no to a chocolate praline?
